FERUM comes from the latin words Veritas, Forum and Ferro. Veritas meaning truth. Forum, meaning marketplace, open space or occassion for communication about a matter of public interest. Ferro meaning (strong as) steel. This in combination with the name of the founder, Ferran, and FERUM was born.
